A Black Friday Strategy Every Dedicated Shopper Can Follow
GLEN BURNIE, MD. (November 11, 2013) – As the holiday shopping season approaches, it's time for shoppers to start planning their Black Friday strategy. Whether plans involve hitting up their favorite big-box store as soon as the last piece of pumpkin pie is served at Thanksgiving dinner, or if they are more likely to sleep off the turkey coma and start their shopping first thing in the morning, the most time- and cost-conscious shoppers need to have a plan of attack.
“There are some easy tips that every shopper can use on Black Friday,” said Marketing Director Jennifer Quinn. “We are thrilled to welcome all shoppers and provide them with a painless Black Friday experience.”
To get the most out of your Black Friday shopping spree, Marley Station Mall suggests:
o Printing out a map of the mall/store and plotting a game plan with markers and highlighters
o Wearing layers and comfortable shoes – shoppers may go from waiting all night in line outside of Best Buy to digging through the clearance bins at Macy's, all in a few hours time.
o As tempting as it is, don't eat Thanksgiving leftovers until after the shopping trips are done. Turkey has sleep-inducing tryptophan that sucks away shopping energy. Instead, load up on smaller protein-packed snacks and lots of water.
o Making a list ahead of time of the "must have" items, including all of the details (color, size, model, price, etc.). After all this work, it would be terrible to come home with the wrong item!
o Shopping with friends and/or family. This way, shoppers can always split up if the crowds get too crazy. If that happens, make sure to have a meeting spot outside of the store to regroup.
